60935 was in Huddersfield town centre today showing ' Holt Park 1 Brown Line'
It was seen going towards leeds Road, so presumably this must have just come back(?)

The First B6BLE's are pretty decent, ex-York's are the best of the bunch. Earlier prototypes, such as the first B6BLE (in reality a B6LE) 40493, and the rest of the batch (true B6BLE's) 40494-40502 are getting on a bit but still okay on flat. B6's have never been good with gradients, and perform brilliantly on flat.

Yes we i think have four two for each (bramley & HP). Also while where on the subject i would love to know how and why HP is suffering from a vehicle shortage. It may get the best buses in leeds, but it is the one which suffers the most vehicles shortages. Isnt it about time someone did something about it. I guess it dosnt help with all the arctics going wired- and while where on that matter isnt it about time we got rid of those heap of metal crap and replaced them with the fresh B9TL'S Gemini or even B9TL ENVIRO 400'S. Bit late replying to this - just catching up! You're right about the artics being part of the problem, there can be half a dozen off at any one time with various defects. The problem is there's not much in the way of spare buses now and I think it's safe to say it's not just HP that are running near to the bone. As an example, about 3 wks ago Bramley's 32437 was booked into the HP paint shop on the Mon morning. "Sorry, we can't spare it" came the telephone call from Bramley. It finally arrived on the Wednesday. Thursday lunchtime Bramley are on the 'phone. "Is it ready yet? We need it!" They did get it back by Friday afternoon. 30870 (Rhino's) & 30926 (Elmhurst Windows) are way past their contract expiry dates but can't be spared as once the advertising contractor removes the vynals they will require repainting.

Thanks for that. I have personally see them all in service except 69477/82/84/85 so your report confirms that all 19 out of 20 are now in use

Exactly why we want it to stay, wasn't this the first ever low-floor bus made?

In service in Halifax is better than withdrawn and scrapped from Leeds which would seem to be the only two options

Indeed it would but as a low floor bus it has a future in Leeds especially on the 8/9 or 91/91A

I don't think it would because look at how often Leeds get new buses, so the bus will probably displaced by Eclipse Urbans in a couple of years, also does the suspension kneel on this as I have never seen it do it, but yet I have seen the Striders kneel!

Scania L113CRL/East Lancashire Maxci 61134 (8656) 8995WY is still allocated to FWY Leeds at Bramley and has not been withdrawn by Leeds and has not been used in service at all in Halifax. It was borrowed i believe, to shuttle drivers from Bramley to Halifax and back from Halifax to Bramley as i am informed that Halifax are short of drivers.

So i guess the Bramley drivers will be covering the 508 service as that is the only route i can think of, that the bramley drivers will know?

The 508 was shared during the wypte era it was worked between bramley and halifax depots although i can only ever remember seeing bramley allocated olympians work into halifax on an evening so wether or not bramley drivers worked service 508 during the day in pte days i could nt say. do bramley drivers work the 508 service now on a regular basis?
