An improvement on the Leeds-Harrogate-York line wouldnt go a miss i am getting sick and tired of getting on board a old Class 142/144.
Class 158'S wouldnt go a miss on this route and with the Tinshill Station in planning (old quarry site) it is certainly time for an improvment

I agree, i have got this train many a time and it is a really busy route. It would be great to see a line to the Airport as i think this would have to see an investment. But i also think they are wanting to have the tram trains on this route. Then the train could come off at Horsforth and would also be able to go in to Leeds city centre. When i was in Dublin resently there trams are fantasic and also not that expensive.

Last time I was at York station there was a 158 parked in the bay platform used by the Harrogate services. Not sure if this was on the service though. David.c

I heard yesterday - although I've yet to see this officially - that Low Moor Station is back on the cards after the remodelling of Bradford Interchange throat is completed.
The theory is that journey times into and out of Interchange will be sufficiently accelerated that an additional stop will no longer prejudice the timetable.
That's the good news - the bad news is that Apperley Bridge is postponed due to the logistical difficulties posed by the site.

However will the timetable be implemented?
I hope so but I know that in Mytholmroyd there's a lot of unrest about their service being cut back to 2 per hour again of which only 1 will serve Halifax and Bradford
